The earliest documented Racinetatane / KAYA recordings — the foundational seggae period. Produced by Percy Yip Tong at Cyper Produktion, this release captures the beginning of what KAYA would shape into an entirely new Mauritian genre.
Seggae Nu Lamizik represents the earliest phase of the Racinetatane / KAYA recording output. The Cyper Produktion label and Percy Yip Tong production context are closely linked to the wider early seggae documentation in the KAYA Archives.
Note: Seggae Nu Lamizik should not be confused with Roots Of Seggae (1998, Cyper Produktion) — that later release compiles early recordings from 1990 but was issued in 1998. Seggae Nu Lamizik is a distinct early release from the 1989/1990 period.
