KAYA
A compilation on Island Stuff Original Records (catalog: ISOR-0003), bringing together early KAYA and seggae material. Eight tracks compiled four years after KAYA's death, this release represents the ongoing curatorial effort to preserve and circulate his recordings. "Zom Dan Zil" — Man of the Island — is among the most poetically direct descriptions of KAYA's essential identity.

Zom Dan Zil is part of a series of posthumous compilations — alongside Kaya Freeman (2002) and Mo Enkor La... (2007) — that sought to preserve KAYA's legacy in the years following his death. Island Stuff Original Records represents one of the independent Mauritian labels that stepped in to keep his music in circulation after the major labels moved on.
