Chante Marley is the second in KAYA's trilogy of Bob Marley interpretation albums, preceded by Ersatz Of Bob Marley (1995) and followed by J.R. Topize Sing Marley (1999). The Dodo Sound label release marked a continuation of KAYA's exploration of the Marley repertoire through seggae — demonstrating the resonances between Jamaican roots music and Mauritian musical culture.
